Jesus New Clothes

Jesus as a metaphor for the emperor's new clothes is the only proper way to realize how delusional the entire human race can be and if you want to solve a problem you have to recognize it.

you are abusing the math

In 1881 the US playing card company manufactured 1,600 packs of cards per day.  If I selected 500 cards from those decks at random, the result would be 1 in 2.1 x 10^1,325.

In other words, using your logic, it would be far more impossible for me to pick 500 cards at random than anything you have shown.

How can that be?  Because you don't understand statistics - you are abusing the math.

Whew

For me, it was probably when I was 8 years old and went to bible school for the first time, because some friend invited me.

I mean before that it was just adults getting real stupid when they talked about god, but this was "Bible School" and the teacher was an idiot who never had a good answer for anything.

Eventually I realized it wasn't the bible school teachers fault, people really think like this, but I was like ok - it's stupid, but I guess it helps keep people behaving well.  Then one day I noticed that in my life at least - the crappier a person behaved had almost a direct correlation to how religious they are.  That realization set me on an anti-religious path.

Then one day I found the Atheist experience on youtube and realized I had been an Atheist my entire life.  Whew.  It was kind of nice to know there were other people in the world who weren't into this complete bullshit called religion.

right and wrong are emergent properties of love.

right and wrong are emergent properties of love.  If you wish to understand morality, you have to first understand love.

NYC is not designed.

Investigation is easiest by using differential examination or comparative analysis. By knowing where things are on the tree of life, the difference can be used to propel investigation.

Imagine it like this. NYC is not designed. Rather, it has grown organically over time, by many different agents sometimes working together and sometimes not. For example, 9/11 shaped the NYC of today, but no one designed that change and certainly no one in NYC was expecting it.

If you are investigating an old pipeline in NYC and its not recorded in the current plans or blueprints of the city, you can look back through time to the older states of the city, the older structures that no longer exist and possibly find insight into the undocumented pipeline you are looking at.

Genetics is like that. For example, you can learn about reproduction by observing that the platypus is our most distantly related mammal. It doesn't have the genes for a placenta, or nipples, but it does have genes for lactation and its egg yolk genes still work which is why it can lay eggs.

Jesus died of genetic Decay

John C. Sanford actually argues that the short life span of Jesus is evidence of genetic decay. Thus showing that anyone can go crazy, science can weed out the crazies, but religion cannot.

we cannot falsify that Thor made the machines.

So, if we find artifacts and machines in Mars, for example, we cannot infer that maybe an INTELLIGENT civilization is the cause of this artifacts?? Because according to you is not falsifiable? -roberpall

Your mars example is bad for your own case and shows why design is not science, we can for example falsify the idea that the Aztecs made your machines but we cannot falsify that Thor made the machines.
