One thing not up for dispute

"By definition it wouldn't be a fact then would it?" Lords Sheep The point is each and every "fact" is ripe for dispute in scientific inquiry and it is only a "fact" if all pertinent parties agree it is a fact. We could say the Earth going around the sun is a fact and all stipulate that is established or we could argue the point.

In science - the only thing not up for debate is the scientific method and that excludes everything that is not 
falsifiable - e.g. creationism or ID
